Left over Love Offering balance–what to do? A good problem…

Class,

We have approximately $400 left over in our Love Offering.

Roger and I went over to Paul & Mary’s home and installed a ceiling fan (provided by them). However, in regards to the leak in the bathroom, it was beyond our skill set…water was literally streaming out at a high rate of flow. It appeared to us that this has been going on for a long time.

Roger and I referred Paul to a plumbing company (Dunrite) to do the repair.

  1. I called Paul this morning to check on the status of the repair. They, Dunrite, are returning this morning to finish up the repair. It was fairly extensive.
  2. I asked Paul, if it would be ok if I were to ask the class to us the remaining money to help defray the plumbing cost. He was very appreciative of that, if it were to pass–but understands if it doesn’t.
  3. They are basically living off of Mary’s teacher income, along with their daughter at home too (as we know, she is pregnant).

I will be asking the class tomorrow for a discussion and motion to use the remaining money to help the Staat’s with the plumbing bill.
