Maranatha Newsletter

Hey, friends:

Attached please find the Maranatha Newsletter for this week. Jim and I will be gone this Sunday, as we are going to New Haven to retrieve the ancient SUV from Larkin and drive it back to Tulsa. As Jim puts it, "She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed will soon land in Tulsa after her semester in Brazil, so her car needs to be parked in the garage when she gets here!" Actually, Molleigh needs the car for work, so we are going to get it. Richard and Meredith Wansley have graciously agreed to lead the class this Sunday so you will be in great and experienced hands! Steve Dickie, Executive Director of Oklahoma Methodist Manor, is our speaker so it should be a good class. We will look forward to seeing you when we get back.

Have a good week and know that you are appreciated, enjoyed and admired by your class members.

Maranatha Newsletter

Hey, friends:

Once again we end a busy week with the distribution of the Maranatha newsletter. Feel free to dock my President’s pay for not getting the newsletter out earlier. Oh, wait. That may be tricky since I don’t get paid . . . Anyway, I hope you had a good week and are looking forward to gathering together again this Sunday. A chunk of us will be meandering toward Miami after Sunday School to see the Coleman Theatre and hear the amazing organ. We owe a huge "thank you" to Karen Campbell for organizing this great event. Many of us took part last week in the Bike Bar Ride through Downtown Tulsa as an auction event and, other than creaky joints and spiking blood pressure, had a blast. That event was also organized by Karen Campbell. Are you sensing a theme here? We are so fortunate that Karen uses her powers for good and that we are the beneficiaries of her amazing organizational skills! Go, Karen!

Enjoy your weekend and we’ll see you on Sunday. Remember that you are appreciated, enjoyed and admired by your class members.

Class updates

Hey, friends:

A couple of things of note:

Olivia Thomas, daughter of Bob and Jill Thomas, will be televised on Sunday, June 5, 2016, at 6:00 CST, on Fox, as she gives up her crown after reigning as Miss USA for the past year. Don’t miss the opportunity to watch Olivia represent us all so beautfifully one last time!

Kyla Rogers, granddaughter of Pam and John Sherman, has been in the hospital after being bitten by a brown recluse spider. Doctors are concerned about her recovery and future treatment is planned.

Please keep both of these young women in your prayers.

See you Sunday.
