Hey, Maranatha friends:
Jim and I enjoyed our vacation, but it is lovely to be back among you! This week we (hopefully) welcome home Paul Staat from his sojourn at M.D. Anderson, and (jealously) bid farewell to Skip and Paula Scott when they begin their grand adventure to retire to Ambergris Caye, a beautiful island in Belize. At the same time we (lovingly) lift up prayers for many of our members who are caring for aging parents in ill health and (trepidatiously) watch as some of our children continue to pursue their own dreams. Ahhhhh, the circle of life is alive and well in J221, the Maranatha Classroom, isn’t it? (Don’t worry: I’m not about to don traditional African garb and lift up our obese orange cat over my head in a mock reenactment of the Circle of Life scene from The Lion King.) Your mental images of the movie are safe.
Have a good week and remember that you are appreciated, enjoyed and admired by your class members.
