Dear Maranatha Classmates:
This Sunday we will be taking up a love offering for the Staat family to help with extraordinary expenses during this very difficult time.
Maranatha work teams have helped a great deal with various outside projects, including lawn maintenance provided by Rick, Melanie and Michael Evans. The Roundtable Class provided a love offering in April to help with some of the preparation expenses. But there are still two major projects remaining on the “To do before Paul has Stem Cell Therapy” List: tear out very old carpet in three bedrooms and finish wood floors or re-carpet; and replace old windows. Both items must be coordinated to be completed during Paul’s upcoming 30-day hospital stay.
Paul and Mary are most sincerely humbled by the outpouring of love, prayers and assistance. They never would have expected such generosity, but are more grateful to their church community than words could ever express. Although they are blessed with excellent health insurance, they have exhausted their savings to come to this point. It is hard to believe, but they have been dealing with illness for a year now and still have a long road ahead of them.
They would never ask for a love offering to be collected on their behalf, but so many people have asked about ways to help, in addition to providing meals, we felt that this would be an opportunity for everyone to participate at an individualized level.
If you wish to contribute, but are unable to be in Sunday School this Sunday, you may mail your check (made payable to Maranatha) to Kevin Meehan, Treasurer; 4712 S 66th E Ave; 74145.
