Hey, Maranatha friends:
For those of you who were able to join us, wasn’t it a joy to hear Dr. Biggs teach last week? When he started to speak, it was as if something slipped perfectly into place in my mind. The sound of his voice, the cadence of his words, the clarity of the journey on which he took us around the ancient world following the travels of Paul. It all combined to bring me home again, as if I had wrapped myself in a snuggly blanket to listen to a beloved recording of a favorite musical. Now if he had just managed to work the words “hesed,” or “ruach” into his lesson, everything would have been perfect! But I digress. The bottom line is that we have Dr. Biggs as our speaker for another four weeks, during the entire month of July, so you have four more Sundays to get in on the action! Just drop by the Maranatha classroom between 9:45 and 10:45, and you, too, can get your ruach fix!
We are currently sending around sign-up sheets for the July class social to go to lunch after the 11:00 service on July 31st, and to attend the 2:30 matinee performance of Anything Goes. Tickets are $10.00 and we need payment at the time of sign-up. We will continue to buy tickets each week until the performance so check your calendars and plan to join us if you can. There are tons of Maranatha members and family members in the cast and crew so come support our own!
