Update on assistance for James Kilman’s family

Dear Maranatha Family:

I only know marginally more than I did yesterday, but I will tell you what I have learned. Maranatha is not responsible for the funeral lunch, but we have been asked to serve and clean up after the funeral reception in the parlor. To make it simple, Sharon Cambridge is going to put iced tea and cookies in the parlor for us to serve. Anyone that is available to come early to help set up, serve and help clean up afterwards would be greatly appreciated. While Sharon has cookies she can provide, you are also welcome to provide cookies if you have time. Sharon will bill us for the iced tea and any cookies that we use.

I know that some class members have made memorial contributions in lieu of flowers to help purchase James’ columbarium niche and that is greatly appreciated by the family. If you are interested in making such a memorial contribution, please contact Brenda Reed at the church.

Carol Grim will be making an announcement on Sunday morning regarding any meals that the family may need in the following days. If you are able to provide such a meal, Carol will have all the details for you.

For the rest of the weekend, I will NOT HAVE ACCESS to this email account, so please do not reply to this address. Instead, please email me at adale or call or text me at (918) 638-2353 so that I can respond to you more quickly.

As is always the case, the heart of Maranatha beats strong and true at times like this, and the arms of Maranatha reach out with love and compassion to surround those in need. I am grateful to be part of you.

Angie
