Hey, Maranatha friends:
Hope you had a good week! Couple of things to note:
This week we have Dr. Gary Peluso-Verdend back to speak to us for the second week of his series on Anger & Love. Remember that next week is a holiday weekend so we will have a Labor Day Brunch with the Living the Questions class as our guests. Bring your best treats and prepare for a festive morning of food, fun and fellowship!
Two women from our class have a great opportunity to win tickets to attend a terrific event in December. Our own Margaret Bean is the Co-Chair of the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary Christmas Luncheon which will be held this year on Tuesday, December 6th from 10:30 to 12:30. To support Margaret and the Salvation Army, Maranatha has purchased two tickets to this great event. Over 500 women attend this festive luncheon which includes a huge silent auction, live auction, scrumptious food and a fun fashion show. Email Margaret at thequeenofbeen )if you want to attend the Luncheon, and your name will be put in a drawing. The drawing will be held in class sometime in September. Must be present to win – just kidding! Margaret will contact you if you win, but why wouldn’t you want to be in class in September to hear Dr. Joel Panciera speak on Five Marks of a Methodist? We will be joined in September by the Living the Questions Class, many of whom are Maranatha alumnae, so it will be a family reunion in J221!
Have a good weekend and remember that you are appreciated, enjoyed and admired by your class members.
