Hey, Maranatha friends:
Once again, I barely make it under the Friday afternoon newsletter deadline, but this has been a busy legal week so please forgive me. A couple of things to note:
We will be drawing this Sunday in class for the two tickets to the special Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary Christmas Luncheon to be held on Tuesday, December 6th from 10:30 to 12:30. If you want your name in the hat/bucket/hopper/container from which the winner will be drawn, please notify Maranatha member Margaret Been (the event’s co-chair) prior to class on Sunday. While you don’t have to be present to win, bribing the class presidents is always acceptable. Jim likes chocolate, and I would look quite favorably on anyone who volunteered to write a month’s worth of class newsletters. Just sayin’ . . .
Dr. Joel Panciera will be back this Sunday with his second lesson on the Five Marks of a Methodist. i am loving having so many sweet faces back together with the Living the Questions class members sitting in to enjoy these lessons. It’s like our own family reunion during September!
