Happy Eastertide, Maranatha friends!
What a great morning we had in class as we celebrated Easter last Sunday! Thanks to all who brought the delicious food, and to Ed Payton for his update on our church mission outreach. We were also happy to welcome and visit with friends from the Pilgrimage Class.
Ed informed us that, though the numbers are far from complete (for instance, no youth numbers are included), our church groups who reported their mission efforts for 2017 gave almost a half million dollars to those in need through outreach agencies and ministries.
In addition, we know of 2912 volunteers who gave their time to help others and $31,430 in goods that were donated. At least 107,011 people were served. That’s impressive!
