Good evening, Maranatha friends –
What a beautiful tribute to Julie Allen many of us experienced today! The service was so fitting, with many people filling the main floor of the sanctuary. Thanks to all who helped host and/or brought food for the family luncheon after the reception.
Thanks again to Dr. Don Hertzler for his great lessons on the apostle Paul. If you missed them and would like to hear them, you can find them at http://www.bostonavenue.org/maranatha.html . Thanks, Don!
We’ll enjoy a Labor Day Weekend brunch this Sunday. Please bring a dish to share. We will not be hosting another class this time, so come and enjoy just visiting with each other.
Rev. Dub Ambrose, Chaplain at Methodist Manor, will teach us on September 9 and 16, then we’ll gather in Jubilee Hall at 9:30 on September 23 for David Wiggs’ State of the Church update. Our next unity service will be held that day as well. Then Lisa Davidson from Phillips Theological Seminary will teach us on September 30 to close out the month.
