Good morning, Maranatha friends –
As we approach another weekend, we thank the Rev. Dub Ambrose, Chaplain at Methodist Manor for his good lesson last Sunday, “What Is the Lord Up To?” and we look forward to what he has to teach us this week.
On the following Sunday, September 23, we will begin class with fellowship and snacks at 9:00 a.m. Class announcements and joys and concerns will begin at 9:10, then we’ll all go downstairs to Jubilee Hall at 9:20 and sit together to hear David Wiggs’ “State of the Church” update. There will not be an 8:30 worship service, as our next unity service will begin that day at 11:00. This service will feature our youth Chapel Choir and children’s choirs.
The Rev. Dr. Lisa Davison, Professor of Hebrew Bible at Phillips Theological Seminary, will teach us on September 30 to close out the month.
If you’d like to hear Rev. Ambrose’s lesson last Sunday, rf any of our past lessons, you can find them at http://www.bostonavenue.org/maranatha.html .
