We’re in for a real treat the next five Sundays! This Sunday, the Rev. Dr. Lisa Davison, Professor of Hebrew Bible at Phillips Theological Seminary, will teach us, then the Rev. Dr. Mouzon Biggs, Jr. will teach us during the month of October. It’ll be great to hear both of these outstanding scholars!
Last Sunday we gathered early, conducted class business, then went down to hear David present the State of the Church address. The video of his exciting presentation is available on our church’s Youtube channel, and you can also access it at www.bostonavenue.org . It appears with the sermons. The videos that appeared during the address, as well as some additional videos that Caitlin Dryke, our Director of Communications, is producing, will appear on our Boston Avenue Youtube channel and Facebook and Twitter pages over the next couple of weeks.
If you wish to participate in Boston Avenue’s daily devotional, the prayer for the day is now being posted on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram at 6:00 every morning. You can also sign up for it in the "Connect" section of our website.
Everyone is welcome to share their prayers for the future of our church on social media by using the hashtag #PrayYourPiece. You’ll see others’ prayers there as well.
