Our CHRISTMAS PARTY AND AUCTION this year was the best one yet! Thanks to our auctioneers, Jim and Scott, and to all you generous bidders, auction item suppliers, and proxy bidders.
Be sure to bring bags of cash, or your checkbook and three IDs, to class this Sunday to pay for all the wonderful things you purchased! The Butterworths are ready to settle up.
MARANATHA LESSONS:
Thanks to Pam Low for her entertaining Advent lesson on “Joy” last Sunday, and for the Almond Joys she shared in class. If you missed hearing her, you can find her lesson and other previous lessons at http://www.bostonavenue.org/maranatha.html .
Carol Maus will teach the fourth and final Advent lesson this Sunday. We’re in for a wonderful treat!

MISSIONS:
Work Area on Missions’ Chili Cookoff is January 10 (a week after the Super Bowl). Our class needs to provide a basket to be auctioned and a chili contestant. Contact Ed Payton if you can help
JOYS AND CONCERNS –
Alas, this section is nothing but a “mea culpa” this week. Your email editor left town for a one-year-old birthday party and neglected to inform her co-chair, Barbara Meehan, to start the recording before the class business session. I promise I’ll do better next week!
