Our first social of the year, the Super Bowl Party, was held on Sunday afternoon at the Solomon’s. A great time was had by all.

The Senior Seekers are gathering on the 3rd Wednesday of the month, along with yoga on Fridays and indoor walking on Tuesdays. Call the church for more details.
Dr. Gary Peluso-Verdend will be presenting a 5-part series called "Repent and Try Again: The Church & Public Matters" starting February 5 at 6:30 pm.
A Taco Lunch at the Route 66 Mother Road (an auction item) will be Wednesday, February 5.
The class will be serving dinner at the Day Center for the Homeless on Friday, February 8.
The 4th Annual Mission Chili Cook-off and Auction will be Sunday, February 10 at from 5 – 7 pm. Come enjoy delicious chili, bid on interesting auction items, and support the church’s mission work.
Church-wide Mission Trip to Port Arthur, Texas will be March 25-29. Talk to Ed Payton for more information.
Joys and Concerns
Debbie Jacoby is slowly progressing in her rehabilitation at Emerald Skilled Nursing at 2425 S. Memorial. She appreciates the notes, calls and visits.
Cisco Maldonado is recuperating at home after having a tumor removed last Friday.
David Shepherd experienced complications following his surgery and was still not out of the hospital on Sunday.
Gabrielle Blankenship broke both wrists through a fall and is recuperating at home.
Kip Jones is now on daily dialysis while waiting for a kidney transplant.
