Our class was taught by Mark Swiney, the Senior Asst. City Attorney and TCC professor, who talked about the historical context around the time of Jesus’ life. It was an informative and interesting discussion.
Darlene Tegeler will be teaching our class for the next month (July 7 through July 28).
Dave Grim shared information about the areas of theological agreement among progressives, moderates, and conservatives from the United Methodist Survey.
Class Celebrations
Jane and Alan Smith were celebrating their anniversary of June 30.
Prayer
Pam Sherman gave the prayer today. Susan Hamilton will have our prayer next week.
Snacks
The LeDouxs and the Russells provided delicious snacks for the class today. The Embreys will be serving snacks next week.
Joys and Concerns
- Our class member, Jim Griffin passed away on June 28, 2019. His services will be on Tuesday, July 9 at 11:00 am at Boston Avenue United Methodist Church. Our sympathy to his wife, Sherry.
- Pam Sherman’s daughter-in-law received her "WINGS" and will soon be flying C-17 aircraft.
- Bruce Chucoski’s father is in the hospital.
- Rick Evans had knee surgery.
- The LeDoux’s celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this past week.
