Subject: JEANIE PAYTON UPDATE!

DEAR CLASS,

I WENT FOR MY FIRST CARDIOLOGIST VISIT YESTERDAY AND GOT A GOOD
REPORT. I DON’T SEE HIM AGAIN FOR SIX MONTHS.

IT IS STILL UNBELIEVABLE THAT I WAS THE VERY SICK LADY THEY KEEP
TELLING ME I WAS. I HAVE FELT SO GREAT SINCE THE STENT WAS PUT IN
SO I GUESS WE REALLY DO NEED OXYGEN AND BLOOD FLOW. : )

ON A SERIOUS NOTE I AM SO SO BLESSED FOR THE WAY MY SITUATION
HAPPENED. THE DR. SAID MY SITUATION WAS TOTALLY UNPREDICTABLE AND NO
TESTS UP UNTIL THE EVENT WOULD SHOW. THE KEY IS LISTEN TO YOUR BODY
AND GET CHECKED OUT ASAP.

I WANT TO SINCERELY THANK EVERYONE FOR THEIR PRAYERS, CALLS, THOUGHTS
AND CONCERNS AND THE MANY BEAUTIFUL AND FUNNY CARDS WHICH I’VE ENJOYED
SO MUCH.

WE HOPE TO SEE ALL OF YOU SOON.

JEANIE

Prayer Request & Last Two Weeks Lessons

A prayer request from Steve Jacoby.

William – my cousin Kathy in Michigan has been given a poor prognosis
for a cancer she had been dealing with. The form had some good results
in the past but has not been found in her gall bladder. Assuming her
strength is adequate (she is very weak right now), she will begin
aggressive chemo tomorrow (Wednesday, August 31) and a series of
holistic treatments next week. She is a very dear sole and I would
appreciate all prayers for her and her husband Dennis as they go through
this fight.

I wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed last week’s lesson and
this week’s lesson. I appreciate the symbols and often feel God
communicates to us in symbols and stories. The Bible is full of
examples. We talk about signs from God, the rainbow, the moist rain.
At Clarehouse, they have butterflies that they grow and twice a year
have a service for all those who have passed and loved ones of the
deceased release a butterfly in honor of their loved one. The
symbolism is quite moving as the butterflies take flight. I really
appreciated the lessons and the history these past 2 weeks. Thank you
for sharing.

Update on Jeanie Payton

On Friday morning Richard Payton took Jeanie to the emergency room in Broken Arrow, and discovered that she was having a heart attack. She was transported to St. John’s Hospital. As of Sunday morning she was in cardiac ICU, but she was moved to room 542 Sunday afternoon. Jeanie has the card that several of us signed in Sunday School yesterday. Richard says that really have no needs now, but they appreciate our prayers.

Update on Car Care Clinic

Here is an update on the Car Care Clinic

William

—— Forwarded message ——
From: Ed Payton
Date: Mon, Aug 22, 2011 at 10:35 AM
Subject: UPDATE ON CAR CARE CLINIC

William,

I thought the class might appreciate an update on the Car Care Clinic- since they were instrumental in having Boston Avenue get involved with this ministry and made a significant donation last year and this year.

Here is an email update I received from the Volunteer Director of the Ministry Lonnie Vaughn after I sent him a copy of the in the recent Boston Avenue newsletter:

Great article! Sat, Sept 3rd will be our 1st clinic. Trinity Episcopal (Iron Gate) and First Presbyterian are partnering with us. We already have clients lined up. Josh (a BA member) has a fully equipped repair shop and we have everything we need.

First Christian in Owasso will be having their first clinic starting Sat, Oct. 15th. The owner of Danny’s Auto Salvage and several other members of First Christian are helping with the startup expenses.

Sept will be our 9th anniversary at the Dream Center, E. 46th St N., just W. of Cincinnati. Starting Sat, Oct 8th we are adding four new North Tulsa partners. Metropolitan Bapt, Greenwood Christian, Antioch Bapt and Friendship Metropolitan. We have some of the equipment we need but could use some help. Would you bring this need to the Maranatha Class and ask them if they would consider helping us out?

What a blessing it is for me to see the vision that God has given me inside my spirit come to life.
